ISLAMABAD, Jun 10 (APP): Muslim world including Pakistan on Friday observed Youm-e-Hurmat-e-Rasool (Saww)Day in which religious scholars of all school of thoughts urged the government to summon the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Foreign Ministers’ extraordinary session on immediate basis to deal with blasphemous issues committed against the Ummah.
They said the main focus of Islamic body’s summit should be to boycott the Indian products and to introduce certain legislation at the United Nations (UN) against blasphemous remarks regarding the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) and heavenly book.
On the call of Pakistan Ulema Council (PUC), the day was observed across the country as religious scholars condemned the blasphemous remarks by the Hinduta proponents of BJP.
They said India had become a hell for minorities adding the OIC and UN should take immediate action against the Indian government and the perpetrators of blasphemy.
They also called on the world leaderships for a complete boycott of Indian products.
The Ulema and Mashaikh were of the view that the Indian government should arrest and punish the culprits responsible for blasphemy.
On this occasion, PUC Chairman Hafiz Muhammad Tahir Mahmood Ashrafi said Muslim Ummah must unite to thwart conspiracies against Islam, Muslims and against sanctity of the Holy Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him).
He expressed the hope that the legislation would be enacted soon in the UN against the blasphemy and it would be declared a crime.
Ashrafi also made it clear that Pakistan and Saudi Arabia had a clear stance on the issue of Israel that no bilateral relations could be possible until an independent Palestinian state was established with Al-Quds (Jerusalam) as its capital.
